Resolution dated 25 November 1859 from Board of Trustees of Austin College appointing Rev R.H. Byers Financial agent of College to operate in the State of Texas. Signed R.W. Bailey, President; Carroll Smith, J. H. Murray and A.W. Branch as Executive Committee. Hand written on two connected pages, 8 inches x 10 inches. Stamp in upper right hand corner shows classically decorated building with dome and columns above which is "Congress" and below "Carew Co." Paper yellowed. |
