L2000.4.4 Walker County (12 1/4 x 8") 635 acres part of a League granted to John Roark Light adhesive stains at top margin of each map but in good condition. |

Maps belonged to Annie de Cordova Kingsbury, niece of Phineas de Cordova, who was one of the commissioners who settled Sam Houston's estate. From Mrs. Kingsbury, the collection passed into the hands of a Dallas collector, and was then acquired by Dorothy Sloan Books in Austin, TX. The Sam Houston Chapter of the Sons of the Republic of Texas (Houston. TX) purchased them from Dorothy Sloan Books and loaned them to the museum. |
